The night staff (Rosarita and David) were wonderful - November 21, 2011

We booked this stay as a last minute idea, only two hours before we arrived. We were very impressed from the time we arrived. The night staff (Rosarita and David) were wonderful. They had everything setup and we were checked in no time. Once we were settled into our room, which was gorgeous and super clean, we changed for dinner. We weren't sure where a nice place to eat was so we spoke to David and he gave us directions to a few nice places right down the road. He was very helpful and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and the very comfortable bed. We felt at home from the beginning and it was very relaxing. Will definitely be staying here again in the future!! Thanks again David and Rosarita. The both of you are an asset to the Wyndham name.

It's a great place, and right next to the highway, super convenient, with very reasonable price around this area, they also offer breakfast.

Would recommend to a friend!-November 29, 2010

Having stayed in several other similarly-priced hotels in the area, I think the Wingate is definitely the best value. The decor feels like a considerably higher range hotel. In addition, there is a very well equipped fitness room and a pool. They do have free HBO, too.

I am so impressed by this hotel - October 5, 2010

I am so impressed by this hotel. It's the BEST 3 star hotel i've ever been to. From the good quality soaps and tea/coffee to the pottery barn looking rooms.There's also a great indoor pool that has warm water perfect for when it's cold outside. I had never stayed at a wydham - but now that I have they will be my first choice for motels from now on. This place definitely wow'd me!

Awesome, worth the price!- October 3, 2010

This is the first time by husband and I have stayed in a Wingate Hotel. The King Room was huge. It had a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee pot, chair with foot stool another chair and a computer desk with a computer chair. It is easy to get to as it is right off I-95. The expanded hot breakfast had a good variety. We would certainly stay here again if we are back this way and will check out other Wingate Hotels on our next vacation. Way to go Wyndham.

Great for boy scout groups!- August 11, 2010

Stayed here to visit the National Scouting Jamboree. Not only was I close to Fort AP Hill, but the service was great. They were very accepting of a dozen 12-14 year old boys! There was plenty for the boys to do while not and the jamboree, they had a nice breakfast included each morning and there were plenty of restaurants close by. The management was very willing to work with last minute changes with our large group. A great place to stay!

Will plan to return - 24 March 2010

The entrance to the motel was a little tricky due to the busy highway, just adjacent to I-95. All facets of the facility were more than expected, including the delightful breakfast and large dining area. The room was spacious and clean. There were many shopping and restaurant choices nearby, (one exit south on I-95), but the busy area made it daunting for us as newscomers to find what we wanted. Now that we are a little more familiar with the area and the many criss-crossing roads, we would not hesitate to return to this facility.

The room was excellent. Very clean - comfortable. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was very nice in the morning with good, hot options that saved me $10 from going out. This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this hotel and it never disappoints.

Everything was Perfect - 31 Dec 2009

From checking in to checking out, everything was excellent. Checked in on New Year's Eve and the young man at the front desk was very professional and immediately got us taken care of. The room was great! Nice furniture, beds were comfortable, flat screen TV, clean bathroom, free wi-fi connection, cordless phone, etc. When I hear that a continental breakfast will be served I think of muffins, bagels, juice, some cereal and maybe fruit. This place had biscuits and gravy, not 1 but 2 waffle makers, poached eggs, along with all of the other previously mentioned food that you would expect for a continental breakfast. There was plenty of room to sit down and enjoy your food as well. The seating was as spacious as a restaurant and there was a flat screen TV so you could get your morning news as you ate. The area the hotel is in is great also. You have everything you need in close proximity to the hotel. There is a Target across the street and lots of restaurants that are close by. All in all we had a great time, even though if it was for only one night. I would highly recommend this hotel to a fellow traveler and would enjoy staying there again should we be traveling through.

Very friendly staff, good continental breakfast, nice room. Great place to stay. Staff was very courteous and helpful. We had a room directly above the outdoor bench where hotel guest would smoke. This smoke was coming through our AC and when we contacted the front desk they took care of this immediately. The room was clean, had a refrigerator, free wireless. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Don't pass this one up!

We were headed to a wedding in Richmond from Pittsburgh and booked a room at the Wingate to shorten the travel time (late at night) but still be within an hour from the wedding. I was really skeptical because the rates were so low. Checked out other reviews and decided to try it. The rate dropped from $69 for 1 night to $52 when I chose staying 2 nights. Our room was big - very, very clean - very comfortable king bed - flat screen T.V. -- free wifi -- desk and reading chair -- single cup coffee makers and wonderfully scented soap and shampoo. A great continental breakfast too! (waffle maker, eggs (not so great) and the whole complement of breads, muffins, juice, yogurt). We did not use the pool and hot tub but they were both working and looked good. Great location - right off I-95 and only 5 minutes from a major shopping mall.
Pool closes at 10:00 but 24 hour nicely equipped fitness center.
We had a great experience and would stay again and highly recommend!

Clean, Friendly, Quiet

Needed to make last minute reservations due to family being in hospital. Used Hotels.com to find a reasonable rate. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The pool and hottub was nice; only complaint is that the pool was actually warmer/hotter than the hottub. (Beware!) But was still very relaxing. Fitness room also clean. Breakfast spread I'll rate at an 8...no fresh fruit except whole apples, could have had more pastry options available. The options did change though for those of you who would be staying for more than one night. The neighborhood of the location of hotel was in a quiet, seemingly safe area. We ordered chinese and they delivered directly to the room with utensils and plates! Hours after checking out, the family member's health declined and needed to stay another night - called hotel and they offered same great price for another night! Easy access on/off of I-95 and food/shopping. Bathroom could use some repair - toilet was loose in both rooms we stayed in. OVERALL EXCELLENT!

Very nice and conveniently located

I stopped at this hotel for the night while traveling on I-95. It was impressive. The room was spacious and comfortable. The fitness center and pool were very nice. I enjoyed my stay all around.
